nd now with an vacuous mind i dnt knw wht i m goona write >>>>

so here goes d fluke

Hmmm !!!!

Blog >>.
what is blog????

There are a number of ways this question could be answered ranging from the broad to the highly technical.

Here are a few definitions from other much wiser people on the ‘what is a blog?’

(and once you’ve seen what they have to say on the topic I’ll share my own thoughts):

‘A weblog is a hierarchy of text, images, media objects and data, arranged chronologically, that can be viewed in an HTML browser.’

‘A frequent, chronological publication of personal thoughts and Web links.’

‘From “Web log.” A blog is basically a journal that is available on the web. The activity of updating a blog is “blogging” and someone who keeps a blog is a “blogger.”‘

‘A weblog is kind of a continual tour, with a human guide who you get to know. There are many guides to choose from, each develops an audience, and there’s also comraderie and politics between the people who run weblogs, they point to each other, in all kinds of structures, graphs, loops, etc.’

‘A blog is basically a journal that is available on the web. The activity of updating a blog is “blogging” and someone who keeps a blog is a “blogger.” Blogs are typically updated daily using software that allows people with little or no technical background to update and maintain the blog. Postings on a blog are almost always arranged in cronological order with the most recent additions featured most prominantly.’

‘A blog is a website in which items are posted on a regular basis and displayed in reverse chronological order. The term blog is a shortened form of weblog or web log. Authoring a blog, maintaining a blog or adding an article to an existing blog is called “blogging”. Individual articles on a blog are called “blog posts,” “posts” or “entries”. A person who posts these entries is called a “blogger”. A blog comprises text, hypertext, images, and links (to other web pages and to video, audio and other files). Blogs use a conversational style of documentation. Often blogs focus on a particular “area of interest”, such as Washington, D.C.’s political goings-on. Some blogs discuss personal experiences.’

The Rs 147 crore Info Edge India, the parent company for naukri.com, jeevansathi.com, brijj.com, and 99acres.com, is planning to launch a new networking site for the education space.

Speaking to Business Standard, Sanjeev Bikhchandani, founder and CEO of Info Edge, said, "In another 12 months, we plan to launch a new website for the education space. Like all our other sites, we would only facilitate the networking between people interested in any kind educational exchange platform."

The company is also in the process of upgrading its Indian job portal, naukri.com, in terms of new features and facilities.

"Such plans require manpower expansion and we would be hiring more, from 1250 employees right now," added Bikhchandani.

IMPORTANT LESSON

The Gossip

A woman repeated a bit of gossip about a neighbor. Within a few days the whole community knew the story.

The person it concerned was deeply hurt and offended.

Later the woman responsible for spreading the rumor learned that it was completely untrue.

She was very sorry and went to a wise old sage to find out what she could do to repair the damage.

"Go to the marketplace," he said, "and purchase a chicken, and have it killed. Then on your way home, pluck its feathers and drop them one by one along the road."

Although surprised by this advice, the woman did what she was told.

The next day the wise man said, "Now go and collect all those feathers you dropped yesterday and bring them back to me."

The woman followed the same road, but to her dismay, the wind had blown the feathers all away. After searching for hours, she returned with only three in her hand.

"You see," said the old sage, "it's easy to drop them, but it's impossible to get them back.

So it is with gossip. It doesn't take much to spread a rumor, but once you do, you can never completely undo the wrong."

From the cradle

cradle: A cradle (also called a bassinet, crib and stock ) is a small bed, often on rockers, in which babies and small children sleep.

This is where i m starting from or should i say i started from.

This being my first blog and i really dont know what i m going to write.
Damn! what do u expect from a normal commerce graduate who does'nt even know how he passed his Xth, XIIth & finally Graduation.

well this bug of blogging bit me arn 2 months back.
it was my senior product manager Mr. Manas Misra who was doing it.
I was afflicted seeing his blogs &what all he wrote finally the day came(31/8/2007) & i m writting my first blog ..

Dnt have much to write jst want to share the phases i've been through uptil now.
The first phase - i've named it The Cradle
My school days - the most treasured n memorable time
still remember all those crushes, damn! i did a hell lot of things to impress girls but eventually ended up impressing myself only, All d time spent in the cricket field - practising for whole day n den crashing on d bed like dead fish !!!!
The only time i took d pain of holding my books n giving dem a glimpse was when my XIIth board were over my head to crucify me but thanx
to some of my hard working friends they helped me get through d bad phase n i was out from the school with some decent numbers to back me.

The Juncture
D nxt phase was d mst dreadful phase with pleasing memories - My college days
i was surrounded by the most wacko creatures which were no different from an old fiat car - laying out fumes, i came across some new words which were never in my dictionary - dope, weed, bongs n d games played @ d college level were named - bottoms up....but those dopers were never able 2 get me in their vicious circle
Do have sm picz of my collg days .....

There is an old saying "IF U THINK U CAN, U CAN" it was a little twisted in my case "IF U THINK U CAN, U CANNOT" n dis was happening every time ( i was never able 2 clear my maths xams) neways it does'nt matter now coz my college days r gone now n i m very obliged to my teachers who were always helping me clear all my exams even though they never knew who nikhil thapar is n wether he exists or not ........(my attendance was never above 15%) but i was regular to college...dis could be a story of any spoiled student - d special thing about it was that my parents knew dat i m going to college n still my attendance is @ ground zero........(well dey thought that dat d teachers r after my life n not giving me attendance) !!!! i have 2 cook some real twisty stories for dat !!! but its all gone now

our group (D Chokha Gang - four eyes) does'nt exist ne more
"What bought us together might remain unspoken
what held us together might be worn off & broken
even if our wave was different as i felt was mine
now i want our pasts to cross waiting for my time ."

obviously i've copied this from a song

Accidents were part of college life, as if all d creatures were in love with my bike - just name d animal n it would have tasted the rubber of bike tyres (still remember i crashed my bike in a cow's back) eeewww!!!! yuck!!!
! later accidents became usual for me n anuj (crashing here & there)

N D 3
THE METHODICAL PHASE(a complete new world)

28/05/2007 - Got over with my last exam

I am a total brand conscious person "cant survive with things which don't carry any brand name with them!!!!! (well my parents are really agitated with this) with this note the story moves on > I gave my CAT exams (some foolish friends of mine persuaded me to do so) & as expected i wasn't able to score much but i was kind of satisfied with my performance, i scored well in all d sections but Maths ( as usual i scored negative).
i was able to get admission in a few MBA institute but as i am Mr. brand conscious - so bye bye to the local institutes.

Without wasting anytime, i gave an interview in 99acres.com - part of naukri.com, i was selected for the tele sales process - D joining date was 10/06/07, coz i have decided to go out for a trip with all my college friends for d last time on d 7th but those morons ditched me and i'll be always thankful to my friends for ditching me dat day, coz on the 7th morning d HR guy called me & asked whether i can join from today, so i was there & what surprise i got der was an opening in the product team & i was there ( woppie !!!! ) working with the product team of India's no.1 Property Portal - Damn! what more can u ask for.

The world was completely upside down for me
- Things changed gradually from:
classroom to office,
books to notepads
Jeans to formals
Pocket money to Salary

I never portrayed myself this way, but here i am.
n
now i m surrounded by d most intellectual, smart, professional n methodically correct species - who know hw to face d tough times.
The most common question that is being asked in almost every interview -
Where do u see ur self 5 years down the line ?
> well i've d answers sitting next 2 me. Dey r perfect idol's.

Each nd every phase has been unique n special for me so far with unforgettable memories, as for now i've completed 3 months with 99acres & letz c hw d journey moves from the craddle..................................
